Our First Snow!

We had some fake stuff way back in October but this is the first real-deal storm of the season!

The Southerner in me expects everyone to close up shop at the first sign of snow, but of course, New York surprises me again.

It is the most empty I’ve ever seen the streets of Harlem, the slowest I’ve ever seen the cars here drive, no buddies gathering on the stoops, no one selling anything on the corner or jamming, but everything is still moving and very much alive! Many are gathering just right inside storefronts, which are all open of course. When your main form of transportation to get to work is underground, there is no reason not to open!

Here is a sideshow from my morning walk in Harlem!
