Return of the Raccoon

As I mentioned yesterday, the sighting of a woodland creature gave us a bit of a shock this week.

Well who knew that they might just be more common (and more creepy) in New York than I thought.

On a walk on Central Park West we ran into this guy today literally crossing the street. He hung out with us for a bit for climbing into a tree. Could it be waking from hibernation of some sort? Like the far too friendly little squirrels, are raccoons next to slowly taking over Manhattan? Or is this all one big coincidence?

I’m thinking coincidence but you never know…
